RHHS Bands Ceremony and Celebration
Dear RHHS Band Families,
This is your official invitation to our end-of-year RHHS Bands Ceremony and Celebration (thank you Band Boosters for including the “save the date” in their last newsletter). This event is about YOU. I will recognize EVERY member of the Band program individually, we will have a guest speaker, the Boosters will present some gifts to you, and of course the evening will end with a very emotional and uplifting tradition - Senior Reflection. It will take place on Monday June 7th (rain date: Tuesday, June 8th) at 6:30 PM on the “Marching Band practice field,” which is the blacktop behind the tennis courts. There will be plenty of room for you to spread out and be safe. Students usually dress up for this event, but please feel free to wear whatever is comfortable if you prefer. Each family is asked to bring lawn chairs, as well as 8 zip-lock bags of baked goods for the students to share. (Usually we do an entire potluck dinner, but we’ll stick to dessert this time.) If you would like to bring dinner for your family to eat during the ceremony, that is totally fine.
In preparation for this event, I need for EVERY student in the Band Program to fill out a participation form for me. It will only take two minutes, and I am asking that it be completed by this Wednesday, May 26th. (The easiest thing is to do it right now, of course….) Here is the link:
