HELP!  VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Volunteer Signup

The band boosters provide many opportunities and events for our RHHS band students, and need help from all our band families to be successful.  We request every family without a board member or committee position to sign up for at least two time slots.

Upcoming need is help with the Hive and Vintage Handmade Market Parking Fundraiser.  We especially need parent help on Friday while the band members are in school and at their dress rehearsal!

ABOUT US

All parents of students in Band, Percussion, and Jazz are automatically members of the RHHS Band Boosters.  The RHHS Band Boosters is a volunteer organization and a 501(C)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit corporation.  It is a separate group from the RHHS Boosters and the PTSA.
 

Objectives

  • To stimulate student, parent, and community interest and participation in the River Hill High School Music Program

  • To promote fund raisers and events for the continued operation of the River Hill High School Music Program

  • To promote mutual cooperation between the River Hill High School Administration, its component groups, and the RHHS Music Programs

Meetings

The RHHS Band Boosters usually meet monthly.  Exact dates will be posted on the Music Program Calendar.  These meetings are used to convey important information pertaining to all aspects of the music program.  All parents are strongly encouraged to attend.

Volunteers

Volunteers are needed in all areas of the band program.  The best way to get the most out of our program is to GET INVOLVED!  Any member of the Band Board would be happy to speak with you about volunteer opportunities.

Communications

Information will be shared with students and parents in many different ways. The director will communicate directly with students through class webpages and email. The Band Boosters use the Charms email system to communicate primarily with parents and students.  We will also post calendar events on this website.  Please carefully read all correspondence that you receive from the band program, as well as correspondence from the PTSA. 

Payments

All payments are to be placed in the lock box outside of the music office.  Since we cannot guarantee total security, we ask that payment be made in the form of check or money order. Neither the RHHS Music Boosters, Inc. nor the directors are responsible for cash used as payment.
