The Band Boosters will be adding at-large board members, and are looking for volunteers for these positions.  The at-large members will attend monthly Band Boosters meetings, and provide guidance and input to the board for booster activities and board votes.  Please sign up by clicking HERE if you are interested in learning more about these positions. Signing up does not mean you're obligated, just interested in learning more about helping the band program.

There are also several committees that need to be filled to support marching band activities in the fall.  We need many parents to help out on home football game/performance day Fridays to help move equipment for the halftime show, help with uniforms, and help with planning and serving dinner to the students (if we are able to dine in the cafeteria together!).  Please sign up HERE if you would like to join in.  It’s fun, and a great way to meet other band parents and support your band student!

We are also looking for volunteers for the following positions at this time.  If you are able to help out or would like more information, please sign up HERE.

Concert Wear Committee Chair - We will be transitioning to new formal concert wear this year, and the concert wear committee chair will send out ordering information, assist families with their orders if necessary, and help with concert wear issues prior to performances.  All of the information you need about the new concert wear will be provided by Mr. Blackman.

Audio/Visual Recording - Record indoor and outdoor performances.  Mr. Blackman loves to have recordings of performances for his students to enjoy in the years to come.  If you have experience with audio and or video recording and editing, please consider sharing your talents with the band program.

Senior Special Events Committee Chair - The senior special events committee chair must be a non-senior parent.  The chair will be the marching band contact for senior night at the last home football game of the year, which is coordinated by a football parent.  The chair will also coordinate flowers for the seniors for the spring concert.

Signing up does NOT obligate you to anything, but will allow us to contact you with additional information and to answer any questions.

Thank you!

The River Hill Band Boosters are the parents of our Band students.  We are a component organization of the RHHS Music Boosters, a volunteer organization and a 501(C)(3) tax-exempt, non-profit corporation that supports the band, orchestra, choral, and guitar programs.  It is a separate group from the RHHS Boosters and the PTSA.

  • To stimulate student, parent, and community interest and participation in the River Hill High School Music Program

  • To promote fund raisers and events for the continued operation of the River Hill High School Music Program

  • To promote mutual cooperation between the River Hill High School Administration, its component groups, and the RHHS Music Programs

The RHHS Band Boosters usually meet monthly.  Exact dates will be posted on the Music Program Calendar.  These meetings are used to convey important information pertaining to all aspects of the music program.  All parents are strongly encouraged to attend.

Volunteers are needed in all areas of the band program.  The best way to get the most out of our program is to GET INVOLVED!  Any member of the Band Board would be happy to speak with you about volunteer opportunities.

Information will be shared with students and parents in many different ways. The director will communicate directly with students through class webpages and email. The Band Boosters use the Charms email system to communicate primarily with parents and students.  We will also post calendar events on this website.  Please carefully read all correspondence that you receive from the band program, as well as correspondence from the PTSA.

All payments are to be placed in the lock box outside of the music office.  Since we cannot guarantee total security, we ask that payment be made in the form of check or money order. Neither the RHHS Music Boosters, Inc. nor the directors are responsible for cash used as payment.
