Good evening everyone, and happy summer! I know that many of you have questions about Band this coming year, and I can almost guarantee you that my answer to each of those questions is "I don't know." As decisions are made at the county level, and as I learn what those decisions will mean for our Band program, I will absolutely relay that information to you. The most important thing, as I have said many times over the past couple of months, is that we STICK TOGETHER. Let's not allow this temporary invonvenience to affect the strength of the River Hill Band Family in any way! Of course we will have to be creative and patient, and of course we will have to "roll with the punches," but that is what we always do anyway! My goal is to not lose EVEN ONE of the 166 of you from this program. If you have concerns, you should absolutely let me know, and I will be sure to help in any way that I can. We will get through this, and we will be STRONG when it is time to resume making music in the ways that we love the most! (And I can't wait!!!)
For now, I think it is safe to say that we will not be needing the August rehearsals that are on our calendar, so you may remove them. We will NOT rehearse August 10th - 21st as I had hoped.
Please stay safe and healthy,
P.S.: Why not check out a few recent RHHS Concert videos while you are making the most of your summer? Here are some to get you started:
