Hello to the RHHS Marching Band! I absolutely can not wait to show off all of our work at Friday's football game, but there are some logistics that must be in order for us to succeed.....
First, regarding shoes: If you own marching shoes already, please place a pair of plain black socks in your shoe box, write your name clearly on the box, and BRING THE BOX TO SCHOOL. Please do this TOMORROW - do not wait until Friday. You can place your show box in your cubby. If you do NOT already own shoes, please place a pair of plain black socks in a bag (or something similiar) labeled with your name and bring them to school tomorrow. Please do not wait until Friday.
Here is the schedule for Friday:
2:15 - rehearsal in the stadium with instruments and coordinate sheets. You will have to hurry to arrive on time, and that's OK. We do not have the field for very long so we MUST start on time.
3:00 - set configuration in the stands
3:45 - go over rules and expectations (in Band Room?)
4:00 - down time - YOU MUST REMAIN IN THE PERFORMING ARTS DEPARTMENT OF THE SCHOOL, as I am still responsible for you. Leaving the viciinity of the Band Room will require a note from parents releasing you from my care, and you'll need to be back for dinner.
4:45 - dinner (whether you purchased a meal or brought your own)
5:15 - dress (going to take extra time becuase it's the first performance)
