Aug-Sept Band Calendar
A big welcome to all new freshman students and families and welcome back to all returning RHHS students and families! I hope everyone had a great summer! We have a lot going on starting TOMORROW with the start of Friday Night Live (FNL) rehearsals. Next week we get right back into things with an away game and Pep Band on 9/2 followed by Back to Band Night on 9/6 and the first home football game and FNL performance on 9/9.
The calendar with all the details is attached (click HERE to download), but please check the band website for updates. It will always be kept up to date with additions and new information. For new folks who might be interested in Pep Band...I'm sure the student pep band coordinators will be talking to all the new students next week, but in a nutshell...Pep Band is a student run, volunteer ensemble that travels to the away football games. They meet at the school at a designated time before the game to rehearse the music, don the wonderful pep band t-shirts, pack up instruments and music stands and head out. We also need plenty of parent drivers to transport students and instruments over to the school and back. I'll be sending out an email next week asking for volunteers...please consider it...it's lots of fun and a great way to get involved in the program! This Friday night is our Band Booster Meeting at 5:30pm. Please consider stopping by to hear about the great things the Booster Board has planned for this year and to see what you can do to help. New Band Students…please visit StageAccents.com. Men are required to wear tux #ENSB and ladies wear the Geneva long sleeve Dress. The details are on the band website and you should have received an email with all the details. If you need to be fitted, please make sure you attend Back to Band Night!
Returning Band Students (men)…we have a limited number of extra tux jackets. If you need to swap for a new size, please contact Mrs. Evans.
