Attention Band Students!

Dear River Hill Band Students,

I am writing to you from beautiful Deep Creek Lake in (far) Western Maryland! I am enjoying the beautiful mountains and water, but am also thinking about you all and what an exciting year we have ahead of us.

I have no doubt that you are busy with many summer activities, but I need for you to spend a little time making sure that you are ready to get to work in a couple of weeks. By now you should have:

Copied ALL of our rehearsals and performances onto your family calendar. There are two minor corrections for you: the optional Pep Band performance on 10/22 is at 1:00 (not 7:00), and the one on 10/29 is at noon (not 7:00). Thanks for making those changes if you are interested in Pep Band.
Informed me of any PRE-EXISTING (already on your family calendar) conflicts with any rehearsals or performances so we can begin to discuss how they will be handled. Please remember that ALL students are needed at ALL rehearsals and performances in order for us to be successful.
Chosen your one summer FNL rehearsal. Your choices, as shown on the calendar, are 8/23 from 2:30-4:30, 8/25 from 7:00-9:00, and 8/26 from 4:00-6:00. Please feel free to attend more than one if you like - that would be awesome.
Chosen your four football games. Homecoming is required. Please consider playing all five performances - it is tons of fun!
Made sure that the correct Band class is on your school schedule.
